I signed up for Good Reads to keep track of my reading, which sadly due to the amount of homework, assignments and tests I have currently moves at slower than a snail's pace. I long so much  inside as I look at my recommendations tab and see so many good books I would love to bury my head in.
I really should get through that list of well-known classics too.
I'm also extremely excited about their giveaway feature. You can sign up for giveaways of [sometimes signed copies of] books that have not yet been published and circulated around the general public. It's definitely a great opportunity. You could be reading the next big hit if you got lucky. The odds aren't ridiculous either, depending on  how good the book looks, different amounts of people request it. Anything from a few hundreds to a few thousands. Well, I'm always up for free books, even if it's a horribly written necrophillic gothic romance story targeting the pitiful mass of teenage girls who think they are 'forever alone.' Hell, even if I got 50 Shades of Grey in the mail, I'd probably be jumping around in joy. Whatever grows my bookshelf...
Even if it's absolutely rubbish, I could always use it to start a bonfire in winter.
