I stayed up to midnight last night reading John Green's 'Looking for Alaska.' I've read his 'An Abundance of Katherines' prior to this and liked it so I thought I might like to check out the books everyone seemed to be talking about online. I have The Fault in Our Stars yet to read [though I've heard it's a bit too 'cute' and slightly unrealistic.] I would love to read 100 books this year, but I'm not quite sure I'll reach that, since a lot of the books on my list are classics that might take me some time to digest. Or maybe, I'll just read more poetry.
'Looking for Alaska' really hit something for me. The books contains a lot of memorable quotes and Miles' obsession with last words had me deeply interested, but I do think John Green's books are a bit overhyped by tumblr etc. Still good books though. And I love John Green like I do with Jennifer Lawrence. Hmm... going on with Mile's and last words... Honestly, I've never been too interested in biographies/autobiographies myself, so I'm probably missing out. Mental Note: Read more biographies. I wonder if Julian Assange has an autobiography. I'd love to read that. (I have a hacker romance.)
I've currently borrowed 'I am the Messenger' by Markus Zusak and I must say it has one of the best and most entertaining introductions to a book I've read. I shall now proceed to peruse it in bed.
